Clarence Hall’s Refurbishment Appeal Update
Posted: 27th December 2021Our appeal continues to raise funds for the refurbishment of the Clarence Hall. Although we have been awarded £100,000 from The National Lottery Community Fund towards our target of £195,000, we still need to raise a further £20,000 to close the funding gap and secure this grant.
We’re hoping to deliver the priorities identified by the Community Survey undertaken in 2020 so that we can host a full range of inclusive activities for individuals and groups of all ages.
Phase 1 of the redevelopment will include: a new and upgraded kitchen; new toilet facilities; a new disability access toilet incorporating a baby changing area; a small bar; and an accessible entrance into the hall with ramped access from the A40 and car park.
You can contribute to the project by:
– Donating online at justgiving.com/campaign/clarencehall
– Sending a cheque and completing the attached Gift Aid form
– Leaving a donation at CRiC or Cashells
– Joining our Clarence 500 Monthly Lottery
Any support you can provide would be very much appreciated. Details of all donors will be celebrated on the Supporters Page of this website as part of the Clarence Hall Community. If you wish to remain anonymous, please let us know and we will, of course, respect your wishes.
Our Trustees are also working on a number of exciting fundraising initiatives. We hope that the community will continue to support our fundraising in 2022 – events in planning include a Hymns and Pimm’s evening, monthly Bingo and various concerts, including a performance by The Band of the Prince of Wales and an exciting return by Elvis during the year!
Details are available on the What’s On section of this website and in our regular newsletter which also provides information on how our plans are progressing. Sign up below!
