Come and Play Rachmaninov
Event Date: 22/02/2026Abergavenny Symphony Orchestra’s 2026 workshop will take place on Sunday, 22 February at the Clarence Hall.
Rachmaninov’s Symphony no. 2 is one of the great Romantic symphonies, packed with glorious tunes and a musical gift for every section of the orchestra.
Conducted by Michael Bell MBE, this workshop presents a rare opportunity to explore this masterpiece and the Orchestra would welcome non-members of the society to join them.
There will be two sessions: 10am – 1pm and 2pm– 4pm with a break during each session. The day will finish with a play through which will be open to any friends and family who would like to listen.
