Crickhowell Archive Book Launch
Posted: 18th March 2024Congratulations to Elizabeth Siberry, Ryland Wallace, Eliane Wigzell and Crickhowell Archive for giving us an excellent insight into the Great Houses of Crickhowell at their book launch at the Clarence Hall on Sunday, 17 March.
An enthralled audience enjoyed finding out more about five of the significant estates in the area – Cwrt y Gollen, Gwernvale, Dan y Parc, Llangattock Park and Glanusk – and the families that occupied them, from Charles II’s courtiers to ironmasters of the Welsh valleys to World War One heroes.
This was a fascinating opportunity to meet the authors, hear them speak about their research and view photographs that have never been shown publicly before.
