Encouraging live music in Crickhowell!

Posted: 6th October 2023

We’re delighted to announce the next performances in our series of Lunch-time Recitals.  This varied programme of events is sponsored by the Clarence Hall and designed to encourage live music in Crickhowell, enabling audiences to listen to a diverse range of music without being charged for admission.

Our next event on Saturday, 14 October will see the stars of Crickhowell Pantomime Society take to the stage to entertain us with a range of solos, duets and trios! The programme continues on Saturday, 11 November when Ian Cooper and the Uskulele Group will undoubtedly bring a smile to our faces with the many differing styles of music the group performs.  Other events are taking precedence in December, but the series will return in 2024 with performances from the Eos Wind Quintet; Choral Scholars from Crickhowell Choral Society, a Piano Spectacular; Abergavenny Band Quintet and Junior Band; and a singalong with community choir, Cantorion Phoenix.

We are fortunate to have the opportunity to showcase the tremendous talent in our locality and are very grateful to the musicians and organisers who give so generously of their time and resources to create this special series of music.

Each recital runs from 12.30-1.30pm. Admission is free, with complimentary tea and coffee available, but there will be a collection for the Clarence Hall Refurbishment Appeal.

We hope that you will be able to join us at one, or more, of the events.  And if you’re a performer that would like to be featured in a future recital, please get in touch on clarencehallcomms@gmail.com.
