Hayseed Dixie are the acknowledged creators of their own musical genre, Rockgrass. There are many converts and disciples to this genre out there performing today. In the year 2000, there weren’t any.
Hayseed Dixie have released 16 albums since 2001, consisting of both original material and re-interpretations of previously rendered songs, selling a combined total of over 750,000 physical copies. These recordings have been digitally shared (legally and illegally) so many millions of times it makes the band want to laugh and cry simultaneously. And often they do. Alone. In the dark.
“Blast From the Grassed” is the newest album release from Hayseed Dixie. The album contains moonshine-inspired re-imaginations of guilty-pleasures songs from the Golden Agen of Pop-Rock. It is their greatest album yet. Of course it is! It’s their most recent album!
Hayseed Dixie have performed over 1,432 live shows in 33 different countries.
