A sparkling season ahead!

Christmas at the Clarence is shaping up to be one of our busiest and most festive yet. From concerts and comedy to community meetings, workshops, wellness sessions, fairs, a visit from Santa and even wrestling, the Hall is full of life this season.

We started with Crickhowell Volunteer Bureau’s Christmas Fair and Santa’s Grotto, raising funds for this tremendous local charity.

Music runs right through the month, from a Christmas concert with Ebbw Valley Brass to a magical Musical Piano Journey into Winter Wonderland, performed by talented young musicians, a fundraising evening for Cancer Research Crickhowell featuring the rich harmonies of Dowlais Male Choir, an uplifting performance from Uskulele and Cantorion Phoenix, and a concert from Abergavenny Borough Band and Gilwern Primary School Choir.

Our community groups are at the heart of the programme too.  Crickhowell U3A meets early in December for its monthly meeting and AGM, the Luncheon Club gathers for its Christmas meal and the Clarence Hall has its AGM.

Alongside its usual programme of social events, the Volunteer Bureau is co-ordinating this year’s Santa Appeal, collecting gifts to brighten Christmas for children who may otherwise go without.

For those looking for something a little different, December also includes a Persian Rug Sale, a festive matinee from Kitsch n Sync and Black Mountains Comedy Festival, a traditional Carol Service with Christ Church Crickhowell and a family-friendly afternoon with British Kingdom Pro Wrestling to round off the year with energy and fun.

With something for everyone, this festive season offers plenty of reasons to visit the Clarence Hall.  More details are available on our noticeboards, on social media and the What’s On page of this website.
