Building Resilience in Everyday Life

Posted: 28th June 2026

Modern life can place many demands on our time, energy and wellbeing. Whether it’s work pressures, caring responsibilities, health concerns, financial worries or simply the pace of day-to-day living, it’s easy for stress and anxiety to build up over time.

On Thursday, 23 July, South Powys Mind will host a free Mental Health & Resilience Training event at the Clarence Hall, offering an opportunity to discover simple, effective approaches to wellbeing in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Guest speaker Marianne Jervis of Bamboo Training will lead the evening, sharing tools and strategies designed to help people feel more resilient, manage stress and maintain a greater sense of balance in everyday life.

The session will look at some of the habits and pressures that can quietly undermine resilience, as well as exploring what helps people stay mentally well. Participants will be introduced to practical techniques that can help them feel calmer, more grounded and better equipped to navigate challenges, together with small changes that can have a positive impact on overall wellbeing.

Anyone with an interest in mental health and resilience is welcome, whether seeking ideas for themselves, supporting family and friends, working in the sector or simply wishing to learn more.

The training takes place from 6.30pm to 8.30pm on Thursday, 23 July. Attendance is free, but advance booking is essential via the QR code on the event poster or the booking link provided by South Powys Mind (click here).

The event is open to those aged 16 and over. Younger attendees are welcome when accompanied by a parent, guardian or responsible adult.
