Celebrating the Land of Song

Event Date: 25/10/2026

Join us at the Clarence Hall on Sunday, 25 October at 3pm for the opening concert of the Celtic Roots Festival ’26.

Crickhowell Choral Society will present a programme celebrating legendary Welsh heroes and the natural world, including music by Purcell and Elgar marking the stories of Celtic leaders Caractacus and Arthur, alongside Mendelssohn’s Choral Songs Op. 59 and a selection of Welsh songs performed by the Society’s talented choral scholars.

Guest harpist Jessica Davies will also perform music associated with leading harpists including Catrin Finch, with a special focus on the legacy of Ann Griffiths, whose anniversary falls on the day of the concert.
