Uskulele strike the right chord

Posted: 25th October 2025

The Clarence Hall was filled with feel-good energy this afternoon as Ian Cooper and Uskulele returned to Crickhowell with a lively rock and pop set that had the audience singing along from the first chord to the final note.

Joined by a talented line-up featuring drums, violin and percussion, the group showcased their trademark blend of rhythm, harmony and humour, taking the audience on a musical journey through some of the best-loved hits of the last few decades.

Highlights included reimagined versions of Nights in White Satin, Space Oddity, Brown Eyed Girl, Chasing Cars, Crazy Little Thing Called Love and I Can See Clearly Now, all delivered with the distinctive ukulele charm that makes this ensemble such a favourite. The afternoon ended perfectly with a cheerful singalong to Sunny Afternoon, leaving everyone smiling as they headed out into the autumn sunshine.

A big thank you to our wonderful volunteers for serving refreshments and to the Trustees for their continued support in making events like this possible.

It was another warm, uplifting event at the Hall – proof that great music, good company and a touch of ukulele magic are all you need for a memorable Saturday!
