Elvis Tribute Concert Strikes a Chord

There was a tremendous atmosphere at the Clarence Hall on Saturday evening as Darren “Graceland” Jones brought his acclaimed Elvis tribute show, Elvis – Always On My Mind, to Crickhowell in support of our local Living with Dementia Society.

Organised by Suzan and Mike Alderton, the concert proved a great success, with an enthusiastic audience enjoying an evening packed with music, energy and plenty of well-loved Elvis classics.

Darren, a multiple winner of Best Elvis in Wales, delivered a polished and engaging performance which captured both the sound and spirit of Elvis, with many in the audience singing along throughout the evening. By the closing numbers, people were dancing and fully embracing the wonderful atmosphere of the night.

The evening’s bar was provided by the Dragon Inn, helping add to the lively and sociable feel of the event.

Most importantly, the concert raised valuable funds to support dementia charities and local dementia projects, continuing the important work carried out by Living with Dementia within the community.

Events such as this do far more than raise money. They bring people together, create enjoyment and connection, and shine a light on organisations whose work supports so many local families.

A huge congratulations to everyone involved in organising such a memorable evening.
