A Blooming Success for Crickhowell Garden Show

Posted: 19th August 2026

The Clarence Hall was full of colour, creativity and activity on Saturday as Crickhowell Garden Society’s annual Flower, Vegetable & Craft Show returned for another memorable year.

Visitors came through the doors throughout the afternoon to admire an impressive array of entries, with flowers and home-grown produce displayed alongside baking, crafts, photography and other exhibits. The breadth and quality of the entries once again demonstrated the considerable talent to be found across the area and provided plenty to see and enjoy.

This year also brought something new, with visitors invited to have their say in the Photography Class through a public vote for the first time, adding an extra element of interest to an already varied show.

A huge amount of work goes into putting the Show together, and congratulations and thanks go to the Garden Society team, all those who entered or gave demonstrations and everyone who came along to support the event.

No Garden Show afternoon would be complete without refreshments and Clarence Hall trustees and volunteers were delighted to play their part, serving an excellent selection of cream teas and cakes in the Atrium. We’re also grateful to Morrisons for their generous donation towards the refreshments.

Congratulations to Crickhowell Garden Society on another hugely successful show and thank you to all those who helped to make the afternoon such an enjoyable occasion.
