Autumn at the Clarence Hall
Posted: 4th September 2026Autumn is always a busy time at the Clarence Hall. As concerts and events return, community groups resume after the summer break and new activities begin, the Hall once again becomes a place where people come together to enjoy live performances, learn new skills, support good causes and spend time with others.
Music takes centre stage throughout the season with a varied programme. Welsh musical tradition is celebrated in a concert by Beaufort Male Choir in aid of Parkinson’s Disease and Prostate Cancer, while The Black Rat Effect once again raises funds for Cancer Research Wales. The Classic Blues Show explores the music that inspired generations of performers, and there’s an opportunity to rediscover the remarkable versatility of the Wales Recorder Orchestra during its popular Musical Tea concert. Later in the autumn, REVIVAL – ABBA Tribute Band promises an evening of timeless pop favourites, while another charity concert with The Bypassers and No Clouds Allowed supports Tŷ Hafan. The season also includes a celebration of Celtic music from Crickhowell Choral Society and a Halloween concert with Ebbw Valley Brass.
Beyond performances, the Hall is at the heart of community life throughout the week. Many familiar groups return for a new term, including Cantorion Phoenix, Dance Beats, Line Dancing and a number of other local clubs and societies. The Hall also provides a welcoming base for Crickhowell Volunteer Bureau, whose activities and services bring people together and support the wellbeing of local residents.
There’s plenty more to discover too. Browse for something unique at the Vintage & Makers Market and the monthly Persian Rug Sales, enjoy a friendly evening of bingo, attend talks and meetings with Crickhowell U3A and Crickhowell Garden Society, improve your English through ESOL classes – English for Speakers of Other Languages – or simply drop in to one of the many sessions taking place over the coming months.
As always, our programme continues to grow, with further dates still being finalised. Keep an eye on this website and social media channels for the latest updates. Whatever your interests, we look forward to welcoming you to the Clarence Hall this autumn.
