Crickhowell Open Studios 2023
Posted: 25th May 2023The popular Crickhowell Open Studios event presents the perfect excuse to visit Crickhowell during the Spring Bank Holiday Weekend, 27-29 May. Numerous venues across the locality will showcase the wonderful art and creativity that the area inspires. The weekend is organised by Suzette Pratten and staff of the Crickhowell Resource and Information Centre, with support from volunteers and artists.
Visitors can explore and discover the joy of collecting affordable art created by more than 300 artists in studios, galleries and pop-up artist collectives in unusual spaces across the area. An ‘art bus’ that takes visitors to some of the venues further afield, always proves popular. The venues are very varied: in an artist’s home or work room, in purpose made studios, with some in cafes, churches and galleries. The beauty of visiting several studios is that each is unique, with its own charm – you’re sure to have a warm welcome and to come away feeling inspired, taking home a token of your visit or having signed up to a workshop or class.
The Clarence Hall is, once again, hosting Torfaen Arts, a diverse group of both amateur and professional artists living within Torfaen. Make sure you visit us to view what will undoubtedly be another excellent exhibition!
The core aim of the weekend is to celebrate and promote the quality and diversity of the work of artists and designer makers in the area. Join us to enjoy a tremendous weekend filled with art while exploring, not only all that Crickhowell has to offer, but also the surrounding area.
