Crickhowell Open Studios
Posted: 12th May 2026Crickhowell Open Studios returns over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend, 23–25 May, transforming the town and surrounding area into a vibrant celebration of art, creativity and local talent.
Organised by Oriel CRiC Gallery and Visit Crickhowell, the annual event invites visitors to explore studios, galleries, homes and shared exhibition spaces across Crickhowell and beyond, offering a unique opportunity to meet artists and experience the creative process first-hand.
Now firmly established as one of the highlights of the town’s cultural calendar, the weekend celebrates the depth and diversity of artistic work across the region. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of arts and crafts while also discovering the cafés, shops and independent businesses that help give the event its distinctive atmosphere.
Among this year’s venues is Clarence Hall, where Torfaen Arts will once again present a colourful and varied exhibition of original artwork from artists across Torfaen and Monmouthshire. The group are marking their tenth year exhibiting as part of the Open Studios trail. Original artwork will be on display and available to purchase throughout.
Across the weekend, artists open their doors in welcoming and informal settings, giving people the opportunity not only to view artwork but also to talk with exhibitors about their inspiration, techniques and creative process. Over the years, that sense of accessibility and community has become one of the defining features of the event.
Venues across the Open Studios trail will be open throughout the Bank Holiday weekend, with brochures and maps available from participating venues and local outlets. An online guide is available at the via the QR code on the poster below.
