Cups on a String
Posted: 18th October 2024Cups on a String is an inspiring new play created by the Riding Lights Theatre Company in partnership with the charity Transforming Lives for Good (TLG). Touring the UK this Autumn, the moving production delves into the profound impact of a unique friendship between Joe, an 11-year-old struggling with challenges at home and school, and Heather, a 57-year-old volunteer coach. Through weekly meetings over the course of a year, the play explores themes of trust, transformation, and hope.
Blending theatre, live music, and digital technology, Cups on a String is based on real-life stories of children supported by TLG’s initiatives, shining a light on the importance of mentorship and compassion. It is a heartfelt and thought-provoking production, suitable for teenagers and adults, that seeks to raise awareness of the struggles many children face today.
The Clarence Hall performance, on 25 October, is hosted by St Edmund’s Church and promises to be a must-see event for anyone interested in the well-being of children and the transformative potential of mentorship.
Tickets prices: Adults £10 and Concessions £5.
