From Neighbours to Nashville!
Posted: 28th July 2025This weekend, the Clarence Hall welcomed actor and musician Alan Fletcher — best known to many as Dr Karl Kennedy from Neighbours — for an evening of music, stories and connection.
Touring his latest album Back to School, Alan and his band treated the audience to a heartfelt and entertaining set, supported by the talented singer-songwriter Riley Catherall.
From the moment he stepped on stage, it was clear that Alan’s appeal extends far beyond Ramsay Street. While many came with fond memories of Neighbours, they left having discovered a seasoned performer in his own right – one with genuine warmth, musical talent and a gift for storytelling.
There was plenty of laughter, interaction and charm throughout, and a real sense that everyone was part of the show. Special guest Jennifer Hansen joined Alan on stage for several lively duets and solo numbers, adding vocal depth and vibrant harmony to the performance.
With songs both new and familiar, moving reflections and a relaxed, easy rapport, Alan Fletcher delivered a memorable concert that proved once again the power of live music to bring people together.
We’re grateful to him, his team and all who came to support the event. Judging by the audience’s reaction, Crickhowell would be glad to welcome him back any time.
