New Year Message
Posted: 1st January 2026As we look ahead to 2026, I would like to wish the Clarence Hall community a happy and healthy New Year.
2025 was a positive year for the Hall, with a wide range of events and activities bringing people together and reinforcing its place in local life. Throughout the months, the Hall served as a welcoming space, shaped by the energy, creativity and involvement of many different groups and individuals.
The year ended with a sense of loss following the death of our President, The Honourable Dame Shân Legge-Bourke DCVO. Dame Shân was a loyal supporter of the Clarence Hall for many years, with a deep personal connection to the building and its history. She will be greatly missed, and our thoughts are with her family at this time.
My thanks go to my fellow Trustees and to our volunteers, whose commitment and care make such a difference. Their contribution underpins everything that happens at the Hall, and we remain grateful for the encouragement and goodwill we receive from so many quarters.
As we move into the new year, we are keen to build on what has been achieved and to continue offering a programme that brings people together and reflects all that the Hall has to offer.
