Taking centre stage with Dance Beats

Each term, the Clarence Hall comes alive as students from Dance Beats share their creativity, enthusiasm and love of dance in weekly classes. Led by Emma Evans, the driving force behind the group, Dance Beats offers children and young people the chance to grow in confidence, make friends and discover the joy of performing.

Classes are open to ages 4 to 18 and cover a wide range of styles, from contemporary and street dance to musical theatre. Alongside learning technique, students are encouraged to experiment, work together and develop choreography of their own. The atmosphere is fun and supportive, giving everyone the chance to shine.

At the end of each term, students present a showcase for family and friends, putting their new skills into practice on stage. This summer’s annual production, The Poisoned Apple, was another imaginative and entertaining performance, reflecting the talent, dedication and hard work of the dancers.

Dance Beats runs during school term time, providing a welcoming environment where young people can develop their skills, express themselves creatively and build lasting friendships. Whether taking their first dance steps or gaining experience on stage, every student is encouraged to achieve their full potential.
