Torfaen Arts draw visitors to Clarence
Posted: 26th May 2026The Clarence Hall was delighted to welcome Torfaen Arts back to Crickhowell over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend as part of this year’s Crickhowell Open Studios event.
Throughout the three-day exhibition, visitors enjoyed a colourful and varied display of original artwork from artists across Torfaen and Monmouthshire. The exhibition formed part of the wider Open Studios trail organised by Oriel CRiC Gallery, which once again transformed Crickhowell and the surrounding area into a celebration of creativity, craftsmanship and artistic talent.
This year marked the tenth anniversary of Torfaen Arts exhibiting as part of the Open Studios event, and the group brought together an impressive range of work, showcasing a wide variety of styles, subjects and techniques. As always, one of the pleasures of the exhibition was the opportunity not only to view the artwork but also to meet the artists themselves, learn more about their inspiration and creative process, and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere that has become such a hallmark of the event.
We would like to thank the many visitors who called into Clarence Hall over the weekend, helping to make the exhibition such a success. It was wonderful to see so many people taking the opportunity to explore the artwork, talk with exhibitors and support artists through purchases and encouragement.
Our thanks also go to all the artists who exhibited their work and to Torfaen Arts for once again bringing such a high-quality exhibition to the Hall. Their continued support has helped make the Clarence Hall an established venue on the Open Studios trail.
Crickhowell Open Studios remains one of the highlights of the town’s cultural calendar, bringing together artists, residents and visitors in a celebration of creativity and community. We were pleased to play a small part in another successful weekend and look forward to welcoming Torfaen Arts back again in the future.
