Beyond Solar, Wind and Hydrogen

Crickhowell U3A welcomes Professor Averil Macdonald to the Clarence Hall for its September meeting on Tuesday, 1 September.

In ‘Beyond Solar, Wind and Hydrogen’, Professor Macdonald will explore the green technologies that could shape our future, looking beyond today’s renewable mainstays to consider the innovations that will be needed to sustain society and achieve genuine decarbonisation through to the end of the century.

A physicist, Professor Macdonald is a former Chair of UK Onshore Oil and Gas and Past Master of the Worshipful Company of Fuellers. She specialises in communicating practical energy transitions, industrial decarbonisation and heating and transport solutions.

The meeting takes place at the Clarence Hall on Tuesday, 1 September, with arrival from 10.00am for a 10.30am start.  Admission is free.
