Volunteers’ Week 2024

Posted: 4th June 2024

2024 marks the 40th year of Volunteers’ Week (3-9 June), when thousands of charities and voluntary organisations recognise the contribution volunteers make across the UK.  With this year’s week culminating in The Big Help Out, from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 June, the initiative hopes to encourage people to get involved in volunteering in whatever way works for them.

Volunteers’ Week is supported by small grassroots organisations as well as larger, household-name charities, who together run hundreds of activities across the UK. The contribution of volunteers is often unseen and unrecognised by many, visible only through the incredible impact of their volunteering.  Taking the time during Volunteers’ Week to celebrate their efforts and all they contribute to local communities has never been more important.

The Clarence Hall is fortunate to have a talented team of Trustees and other volunteers who support us in so many ways.  Volunteers’ Week provides an opportunity for us to recognise the efforts of these individuals who dedicate their time and energy to ensuring the Hall remains a vibrant, welcoming place for everyone.  Without their assistance, we would not be in the position we are today – we are so grateful to you all!
